moving and more exciting news

We bought a house! After three and a half years in a two-bedroom apartment, we're so glad to have room to spread out! And, we are expecting a new addition to our family in September! Yes, that's right...we're pregnant!!! (I realize this is old news for many of you, but it's been a crazy busy few months with lots of transitions! I thought it was about time to officially update my blog on this!) Ty and Drew are going to have a little brother!!! :) We absolutely LOVE our boys and think they are the greatest, so we are excited that God is giving us another precious one!

Ty was convinced it was a girl from day 1, so he was probably the most shocked in the ultrasound room. He said, "I thought it was going to be a girl!?!" which I kinda did too until that day--I just had a feeling. The ultrasound tech said that she could tell immediately when she put the probe on my tummy he was a boy! Little Bit was so proud of his peepee and quick to show it! Isn't that just like a boy?

Recently, Ty looked at my ever-growing tummy and said, "We have so many boys! There's Ty, Drew, that one in there,...daddy!" I never thought I (a very girlie girl) would be the mom of all boys, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I am just going to need some help letting go and letting my boys be boys. I just want to protect them from ever getting hurt, but unfortunately, that is part of the fun in a boy's world! I'm going to need lots of grace!

Our new house is in the mid-town area of the city, in walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops, and approximately one mile from where our new church is going to be in the fall! We're so happy to be here! Below are my boys helping us load one of the trucks on moving day. Aren't they the cutest? And such great helpers!

One thing we're committed to at our house is having fun. And there is never a dull moment especially after baths. There's something about squeaky clean, happy, "nakey" babies!

In his free time, Corey has been busy studying for his FIVE ordination exams, which are really more like TEN since there is a written and an oral exam for each. He took his first one this morning on theology. One down...four to go. I have to brag on him for a second--he memorized the Westminster Shorter Catechism! Smarty!!! Here's a look at him in action and the material he is trying to conquer.

We haven't had our Thomas the Train set out for a while, but it came out today and the boys had a blast playing with it (and I had fun taking pictures of them!) :)

first trip to the Indy library

We took our friend Isabella and met some more friends (Tara and her boys) at the downtown library for some fun in the toddler area. Ty LOVED watching a book on video (I liked the fun chairs), and both boys had fun with the green screen. They could walk on a stage with a green screen behind them and then see themselves on TV in different settings--crossing a stream, playing in a rock band, or walking on a fall day. It was pretty cool.
