the things you say...
The other night at dinner Corey asked Drew, "Can you smile?"
Drew: "No, it's dangerous."
Corey: "It's dangerous to smile?"
Drew (smiling): "Yup!"
This morning, Ty turned off the Today show I had just turned on (for a brief moment while I changed Drew's diaper) and said, "This is not appropriate." (It was the cooking segment, by the way. I think only PBS Kids would have been "appropriate" this morning. He was excitedly waiting for "Super Why.")

tucked away
Today marks the day that I have officially been pregnant the longest of all three of my kiddos. Ty was 9 days early, Drew was 3 weeks early, but this little one is 8 days away from his due date! He's content being tucked away--warm and cozy in there. I wonder if he's going to be a laid back baby...

38 weeks (+ 3 days)
I woke up this morning at 4:30 AM with contractions! This is the first time that has ever happened to me (unlike most normal pregnant mommies!) :) Usually, my water breaks and then nothing else happens...for a long, long time. So I got up, packed my hospital bag, paid some bills, and sent a few emails. (Why not, right?) Corey was sweet...he was right beside me counting the time between my contractions. After two hours, they subsided and we went back to sleep. I had a few more contractions this morning (around 10) but nothing since then. We'll see...this little one might want to be a September baby!

funny sayings
Ty and I were talking the other day about how he could be a construction worker when he grows up. I told him he could build tall buildings or houses, and he said, "I'll build a Qdoba!" (Now THAT is a boy after my own heart! I've craved Qdoba like a maniac during this pregnancy!) :)
Drew said to Ty about walking down the stairs in his slippers, "It fipprey...be careful." (It's slippery...be careful.)
Drew calls Lightning McQueen (from the "Cars" movie), "My Queen"
At one point, Ty asked me if the baby was going to "pop out," (which of course I said "yes" in order to not get into any details) and now Drew will randomly say, "Baby POP OUT?!?" (I think they think the baby is going to just appear one day...we'll leave it at that!) :)
