Look at 0ur baby pepper! Isn't he so cute? It's our "first fruits" from our new garden! We got started a little late in the season (because of moving and everything else) so we are just now seeing things come up, and it is so exciting. In fact, we used fresh cilantro and basil from our garden tonight--it was so rewarding to walk out in the back yard and pick fresh herbs from our own garden! We're still waiting for our squash, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, beans, asparagus, watermelon (we got a little ambitious at the farmer's market!), and pumpkin (what in the world do you do with pumpkin???)

post-graduation playground party
The day after graduation we spent the morning at one of our favorite parks in St. Louis with our friends and family. We all had a great time!

Covenant Seminary graduation
Corey officially graduated from Covenant Seminary this past December but decided to go back to "walk" at the graduation ceremony in May. We are so glad we made the trip back to The Lou! It was fun to see friends who walked through that phase of life with us, and it was extra special to see Corey walk across the stage, shake hands with Alistair Begg (the speaker), and receive his diploma from Bryan Chapel. I am so proud of all that he accomplished during our three and a half years at Covenant Seminary! He went to school full-time while working part-time and taking care of his family (which included two young children and a wife with super high expectations). Way to Corey! We are all so proud of you!!!

Happy 40th David!!!
This past weekend, we celebrated our friend, David's 40th birthday! It was so special for two reasons: 1) David is like a spiritual dad to both Corey and me and one of our dearest friends and 2) We enjoyed a sweet reunion with college friends who came from all over to celebrate too. Below are a few pictures from the surprise party (part 1) at Rick's Boatyard:

black eyes and boo boos
Look at these sweet faces!!! Aren't they adorable?! I was trying to take a picture of Drew's eye tonight. He has quite a "shiner" from his tumble down the stairs. The picture with the sippy cup doesn't do it justice. I'm just so glad he's okay and walked away with only a black eye. (The boo boo below his nose is from the nursery on Sunday!!!) Poor little guy. It's been a rough week and it's only Tuesday. :(
