sweet brothers/friends

I'm not sure when it happened, but Ty and Drew are the best of friends. Don't get me wrong, they still have their moments, but for the most part, they are best buddies and love playing together. It's so great! I hope I'll be able to say the same about them all of their lives.

pregnancy pic--27 weeks

While she was here last weekend, my mom was committed to getting at least one photo me pregnant this time around. Thanks, mom, for being committed to baby #3! I've heard that pictures significantly decrease of your second child and that there are virtually no pictures by the third one. So far, it's not looking good for this little one's baby book! :( I need to get on the ball!!! Somebody, please hold me accountable!!!

My baby is 4!!!

I can't believe it, but my BABY is four!!! We celebrated Ty's 4th birthday last weekend with family and friends. The lightning and rain changed our plans from a splash park to an indoor playground at the mall, but the kids didn't seem to mind! It was a great morning! Ty wanted the "Cha Cha Cha" version of "Happy Birtday" so that's what he got. Here is Isabella singing--you can see that Ty loved it (until he got embarrassed that all the attention was on him and put his head under the table!) :) I loved watching all the kids as Ty opened his presents. There were lots of "Oohs" and "Aahs"as the toys were revealed from their packages. It was a special day!

baby blues (and hazels)

I love these eyes! Ty's are going to be blue like his poppa's, but Drew's are starting to look more green (sort of hazel, like his mama's!) :)

prayers

Tonight was the first time Drew prayed on his own! This was his sweet prayer:
"God, thank you for cookies. Amen"

And Ty prayed something like this:
"Dear God, thank you for Mimi and Grandpa for giving me Buzz Lightyear, thank you for Nonna and Poppa for giving me my black truck, thank you for Poppa's back (he meant knee), thank you for Uncle David's neck--please make it feel better, thank you for cookies with the chocolate chips, but I don't like the chocolate chips (he's actually never had them because of his milk allergy...I think that's what he was referring to), and give me tea cookies. What a treat! Amen."

ready for bed

Recently, we got out the baby bath towels (truth be told--all the other ones were dirty!) as a substitute for the boys' regular ones. You know--the kind with the hood. Well, Ty decided they were wearing robes and graduating (inspired by daddy's recent graduation ceremony). Then the towels became capes and the boys became superheros! Tonight, Drew exchanged his towel for his backpack, and Ty just wanted me to take a picture of him singing (with his hooded towel on his head). :)

first fruits (um, I mean vegetable)

Look at 0ur baby pepper! Isn't he so cute? It's our "first fruits" from our new garden! We got started a little late in the season (because of moving and everything else) so we are just now seeing things come up, and it is so exciting. In fact, we used fresh cilantro and basil from our garden tonight--it was so rewarding to walk out in the back yard and pick fresh herbs from our own garden! We're still waiting for our squash, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, beans, asparagus, watermelon (we got a little ambitious at the farmer's market!), and pumpkin (what in the world do you do with pumpkin???)
