Mimi and Pee-pa's visit

Can I tell you how great it is living near a free zoo??? So, this past weekend, Joe and Nora came up for a visit, and despite the fact that we went to the zoo on a Saturday of a major holiday weekend, we had a great time! We actually made it in and out of there before the bulk of the crowd and before the rain!!!




Fun things from the weekend:
*Ty slept in his "big bed"--new twin bed--and loved it!

*Grandpa became affectionately known as "Pee-pa!"

*Corey and I learned several new southern expressions (two of my favorites: "come a flood"=lots of rain, and "it's lightning up"--contrary to what I thought (having to do with lightning especially because it had been lightning all morning) it actually = the sun is coming out

*Joe and Nora were going to leave on Monday but Joe had "the heartburn" (I laugh every time he says that) and another bad reaction to his Mexican dinner the night before so they stayed an extra night only to be deterred even longer because of a TORNADO in our area today!
